Welding and Cutting

Course Description: This course is a hands-on introduction to the common cutting and welding techniques. Students will learn weld preparation, welding positions, Shielded Metal Arc Welding/Stick welding, and oxy-acetylene cutting. Using found objects and basic materials, students will create a small piece of art or sculpture. No prior experience with welding is required.
Beginner to Intermediate.

Required reading: Reading packet will be provided to all students upon arrival

What to bring: Notebook, pencil, water bottle, eye and ear protection, welding goggles and gloves (optional - Yestermorrow will provide goggles and gloves for students who don't have them)

What to wear: Work clothes, closed-toe shoes
