Do-It-Yourself Home Repair
Course Description: This class is designed for those who already own a home and want to better understand its systems so as to be able to tackle home repair problems and maintenance likely to be encountered around the house. In this week long class we will cover basic tools and materials, some basic carpentry such as building shelves, and common repairs to walls, floors, windows and doors. A day of electrical will range from replacing a lamp plug to adding a dimmer switch to adding a GFCI; and a day of plumbing will range from repairing leaky faucets to replacing a bathroom fixture.
