Yestermorrow Scholarship Application

The Yestermorrow Design/Build School offers a number of scholarship opportunities for students. Our goal is to make our classes affordable for everyone who is interested. The maximum scholarship awarded can total no more than 50% of tuition.

We encourage all scholarship students to participate in our work trade program, although we can make exceptions (in the form of tuition grants) for people who can demonstrate that work trade is not a viable or adequate option for them.

Work trade students are involved in various activities that range from office support to campus maintenance and clean up. Duties can vary from organizing a mailing or cleaning the woodshop, to cutting the grass or building shelves for the studio. We try to find projects that match an individual's skills and experience but we cannot make any guarantees about the kind of work a student might be asked to do. Flexibility, initiative and a sense of humor are required.

Work trade must be performed between 9-5 Monday through Friday, but working times are flexible within those hours.

Requirements:

•  A scholarship application should be returned with your course registration and arrangements made at least one week prior to work trade.

•  Work trade service must be completed before the course starts.

•  A deposit must be paid to hold your space in the course (we will refund your deposit if we are unable to offer you a scholarship).

Please note : Scholarship applications will be reviewed no later than 3 weeks before the class starts.

Also please be aware that we do offer the following cash discounts that can help make the tuition more affordable:

•  15% off for full time students

•  15% off if you register for a 1-week or longer class with a friend of family member

•  15% off if you register for multiple classes at the same time (after paying full price for the more expensive class)

•  60-day and 30-day pre-payment discounts are also available (see catalog for details)
