Overview
The Fall Semester in Sustainable Design/Build at Yestermorrow will immerse up to 16 students in the hands-on collaborative process of designing and building an architecturally innovative high performance building. Under the guidance of Yestermorrow’s expert faculty, students explore the theory of sustainable design and acquire and apply the technical skills required to turn a carefully considered design into a successful structure. Academics
Students experience the semester’s multi-disciplinary curriculum as an integrated whole: lectures, job site work, seminars, discussions and studio work are designed to reinforce and complement each other, while informing the group design/build project. To help students, faculty, and registrars translate the program into discrete course credits at their home institutions, the integrated curriculum can be segmented into four distinct course offerings. Admissions
Priority applications are accepted through February 15th, 2012. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. After that point applications will be reviewed on a space-available basis. Applicants are required to submit an application form, essay question responses, and a $25 application fee. Read more »

The Fall Semester in Sustainable Design/Build provides more than just an outstanding educational experience. It offers students the opportunity to form a tight-knit community -- living, working and learning together amidst a beautiful landscape and among a dynamic, creative, ecologically conscious, entrepreneurial population. The Tiny House
In Fall 2011, Yestermorrow Design/Build School’s Semester in Sustainable Design/Build designed and built an architecturally innovative tiny affordable house, built sustainably and designed to address the needs of the Vermont climate. Read more »
