Marc Maiorana maintains an ironworking studio in the Southwest Virginia Appalachians. Recently a resident artist of the Penland School of Crafts, in 2001 Marc earned a BFA in Metalsmithing from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. His studio composes sculptural and functional ironwork for exhibition and commission; additionally included in three contemporary iron books by Dona Meliech. Marc has taught at Marywood University (PA), Touchstone Center for Crafts (PA), Penland School of Crafts (NC), New England School of Metalwork (ME), and Haystack School of Crafts (ME). |
