Martha Burns is a designer who focuses on textile design, product design and commercial and residential interiors. After attending Newton College, Boston, she received her graduate degree in architecture from Yale University. During her twenty year career, she has worked at some of the most prestigious design firms in the country, including HOK and FX FOWLE Architects. Ever since she entered the design profession, she has continued with her love -weaving- in which the consideration of light, color, and texture are essential qualities to the final results. Jack Lenor Larsen was her textile mentor. She steadfastly brings the principles of weaving to her interior design work achieving sensitive environments that respond to the needs of people using them. |
