Russ is owner of NorthLand Design and Construction Inc., which designs and builds everything from unique custom homes to commercial theaters, bars, restaurants and hotels, and large scale music festivals including Phish's large festivals and Bonnaroo Music Festival. Russ has been Chair of Waitsfield Planning Commission for 14 years, and serves as the representative from Waitsfield to the three town Steering Committee that deals with planning and large scale growth issues. He is also Chair of the Transportation Advisory Committee responsible for the creation of a public mass transit bus system serving the Mad River Valley with connections to outer world.
