Yestermorrow Design/Build School Hosts 3^rd Annual Art Exhibit and Sale

Yestermorrow Design/Build School will host its 3^rd Annual Exhibition and Sale: Art from the Yestermorrow Community, beginning with an opening reception on Saturday, December 15^th from 6:00 – 9:00 PM. The Art Exhibition will feature the original creations of Yestermorrow staff, faculty and members of the Board of Directors. The Art Show will be open and free to the public every day from 9:00 AM -5:00 PM until December 22nd.

While Yestermorrow may be best known for its innovations in building design and energy use, artistic creativity is a common element seen in the school’s classes and projects. This year’s art show will feature over thirty works in mediums ranging from ceramics to wood to watercolors. This year’s featured local artists include Carl Bates, Art Schaller, Michael Sullivan, Nils Shenholm, Robin Foster, John Anderson, Benjamin Cheney, B'fer Roth, Randy Taplin, Monica DiGiovanni and members of the Yestermorrow community from around the country. 

Thirty percent of the proceeds from the sales of the art will go directly to forward the cause of sustainability and good design though Yestermorrow’s education, research and advocacy. Yestermorrow strives to make our classes available to those of lesser means and greater need through the Yestermorrow Scholarship Fund.
