Architectural Modelmaking

Modelmaking is one of the best ways to convey design ideas in addition to being a rewarding hobby. Models can show everything from how a building is sited in a landscape to specific connection details found in construction. While in the studio students will learn how to scale their projects from existing buildings and drawings into a manageable model. Topics to be covered include an overview of model types, materials choices and modeling techniques and tools. Students can come to class with a project in mind, find a local building, or design a project to model.

Note: This class will begin on Friday at 6:00 pm.
