Overview
Yestermorrow Design/Build School in Warren, Vermont offers over 150 hands-on courses per year in design, construction, woodworking, and architectural craft including a variety of courses concentrating in sustainable design and green building. Operating as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization since 1980, Yestermorrow is one of the only design/build schools in the country, teaching both design and construction skills. Our 1-day to 3-week hands-on courses are taught by top architects, builders, and craftspeople from across the country.
Our Philosophy
Yestermorrow's courses are specifically designed to demystify the designing and building processes using hands-on, experiential learning to teach students the art and wisdom of good design and the skill and savvy of enduring craftsmanship as a single, integrated process. Read more »
In the Community
We are a committed to improving and contributing to our local community through our class projects. We do this through offering our time and skill in building a variety of projects in collaboration with local non-profits, schools, and other organizations that contribute to the well being of our community. Campus
Yestermorrow is based on a 38-acre campus in Warren, Vermont. Our main building houses offices, a design studio, library, woodshop, conference room, kitchen and dining area, and dormitory with 5 rooms. In addition, students, instructors, interns and staff have built cabins, a treehouse, composting toilet, solar shower, earthen oven, tent platforms, an outdoor classroom area, and more. Read more »
